Welcome to AUSPELD - the Australian Federation of SPELD Associations
AUSPELD, The Australian Federation of SPELD Associations, responds to the needs of children and adults with Specific Learning Difficulties/Disabilities, such as the learning disability dyslexia, and those who care for, teach, and work with them, through the dissemination of information, advocacy, research, and support.
The AUSPELD federation is composed of state based SPELD organisations.

Sir Jim Rose Tour of Australia, September 2009

Professor Tim R. Miles OBE PhD FBPsS, the much respected trailblazer within the dyslexia
field and Vice President of the BDA, sadly died on 11 December 2008.
Professor Miles played a major part in helping spread an understanding of dyslexia and how its difficulties can affect children, adults and families; and was an inspiration to many.
